Out of the shoebox and into a slightly bigger shoebox. With amenities.

Well, I’m moving house at the end of the month. While this is good news for me as I don’t have to live in a tiny little shitbox any more, it’s likely to impact translations for a while. Between the whole business of packing/unpacking, and the likelihood of me being without internet while it’s reconnected (unless someone has an unsecured wireless point near me. Fingers crossed) I suspect it may be up to a couple of weeks before I can release anything.

The upside is that while I’m internet free I’ll still be working on translations, so there should hopefully be a small flood when I get back. I have several books awaiting editing only that I’ve saved for just this purpose (hello, St. Margareta Gakuen COLORFUL!2…). I may or may not get one more short book out before I move this weekend, depending on how long it takes me to finish packing and clean the old house.

So that’s the situation. I’m unlikely to update the blog until I return, as accessing it from work is tactically unwise. I have set up a Twitter account and am attempting to work my way around this new-fangled technologism from my cellphone. I use it to post updates on what I’m working on and how far through it I am, so feel free to follow it if you want updates on what ’s going on. The account name is LWButterflies, because apparently LittleWhiteButterflies is too long and someone already stole Imari. : (

[Tanaka Naburu] Torture Dungeon – Naruto Volume (ENG) =LWB=

It’s been a while since the last Tanaka Naburu book I did. This one is Naruto based, and in full extreme guro form. It features Tsunade, Shizune and Sakura being raped, tortured, having huge objects inserted, having pubic bones broken so that they can give birth to pig-men, and killed. Unfortunately, it’s from the era where the art style seemed to consist of lots of images on a page with little separation between them. I find it quite difficult to read at times, or at best distracting. I’m glad that their more recent books have tended not to feature this.

Translation Notes: This one was crazy tough. There’s all sorts of weird puns in this one where I know they’re cracking some sort of joke, but I just don’t get it. Most of the time when they say “NIN NIN” it’s written in various kanji that *could* be read that way, but don’t make any real sense. It’s probably roaringly funny if you’re Japanese, but I guess us lesser sorts will just have to make do with the sex and violence, eh?

[Studio Wallaby] Secret File Next (ENG) =LWB=

An interesting little Love Hina doujin by Studio Wallaby. Man, I love those guys. Shinobu has no friends at school, but some girls offer to be her friend for the small sum of $2000 a month. Of course, they have a way that she can earn this much money. By selling herself in the boys toilets for $5 a go. Gotta love young entrepreneurs.

The artwork isn’t the greatest I’ve ever seen, but I do love the story.

Death of a Rapidshare, part Two.

Update on the link killer situation. Thanks to all those who chipped in with suggestions.  Thanks to your help I’m now a lot more knowledgable on file hosting on the internet.

The main solution will be to use a distributor to upload the files to several file hosting sites at once. This minimizes the work on me, and maximises the work for the link killer in order to take them all down. I’ve started using superuploader.net simply because it offers the largest amount of file sites, but depending on performance and reliability it may change to another similar site in the future.

Batch torrents are a good idea that I’ve chosen not to implement at this time. It is pretty much the ultimate solution that keeps files available forever though, so it’s always there as a last resort.

Also, it has been pointed out that uploading.com offers actual money paid for downloads. Now, I’m not exactly in this for the money but I’m not some sort of dribbling retard that turns down the offer of free cash. The amounts aren’t going to have me living the high life ($10 for 1000 downloads), but it would probably be enough to look at some upgrades for the site at least. A proper web address would be nice for a starter.

If people can use the Uploading.com link, it will be much appreciated. If you choose not to, beware the herd of killer puppies I’ve sent to ankle-bite you to an early grave.

Over the next few weeks I’m looking at revamping the look of the site to something a little less generic. But I’ll try to keep it simple and readable, I hate the fucking Myspace generation with their pages jammed with mp3s, epileptic gifs and black text on a black background. I’m also looking into potentially getting someone/some people to help out with editing, the less time I have to spend editing the more I can translate. And also, the faster I learn Japanese. Editing does zero for my learning.

[Studio Wallaby] Onee-chan Sensei Nijigenme (ENG) =LWB=

Firstly, many thanks to Ero-sennin for scanning this and Yuki for bringing it to my attention.

This continues where the first left off, as Suzu/Belldandy realises that Yuu has been raping her at night. Eventually he figures out that she’s awake most of the time, and he points out that it’s her fault he’s a perv. Of course it is, without guilt-tripping women into having sex with us we’d still be back in the dark ages trying to make Fleshlights from moldy carrots and old socks. Anyway, now he gets to have sex with her anywhere, any time. Naturally, this includes the boys bathroom at school.

It all sounds simple and mundane, but for some reason this is one of the hottest series I’ve ever read. Go figure.

So, it seems like a lot of the older links got reported by some tool. Which is pretty irritating. Unfortunately, my understanding of the way Rapidshare and friends and current internet copyright shit works is basically if *anyone* complains they have to take it down or they’re potentially liable. Personally, I blame the terrorists. And global warming.

I’m going to try adding uploading.com to the repertoire of sites I use, as it doesn’t have an obvious REPORT THIS NOW button. It seems you have to actually email them with information, and if this is just some guy who does this for shits and giggles the extra effort may be a turn-off. I’ve noticed some people using link-redirectors, but I’m not exactly sure how that helps any.

All I can suggest is post in the comments that the links are down and I’ll try to get them back up, as I don’t actively watch them. It’s not a trivial task though, so bear with it if I don’t re-up straight away. If you really super desperate need to see something NOW, all the stuff is up on e-hentai.org and it doesn’t get removed. The site is a little user unfriendly if you’re not actively contributing, but it’s always an option.

Note: I’m actually going to be away for a couple of days as of tomorrow, so anything that you report pretty much as of now probably won’t be fixed for a while. Sorry. : (

[Seven Gods!] Synchrocord 7 (ENG) =LWB=

Well, at least Golden Week is affording me the opportunity to clear out some of the translations that have been sitting on my computer half done for a while. This is the latest currently available volume of the Synchrocord series. This one is just Asuka and Shinji. Asuka’s continuing her previously outlined role of fighting by being Shinji’s fuck buddy. This one also contains enemas and scat, so be warned.

Continuing the Synchrocord series, this one comes in two parts. The first involves Shinji and Rei doing the usual. The second has Misato ordering Shinji to stop fucking Rei and Asuka, and as compensation offers him free use of herself. Shinji obviously takes her up on this and fucks the shit out of her.

Well, I haven’t been able to find the second in this series but the third seems like good times. The series is pretty clearly Ah My Goddess derived by now. The fourth is in the process of being scanned, and hopefully I’ll have time to get them both translated before too long. So many things I want to translate at the moment. : )
